The Junior Structural Engineer will work closely with senior engineers/project managers and principals on projects involving the investigation, analysis and modification of existing building structures.  Responsibilities include:

• Performing structural design, analysis, calculations, and drawing markups under the supervision of senior engineers, project managers, and principals

• Assisting in the preparation of construction documents, drawing sets, and technical studies

• Participating in on-site investigations to assess structural conditions and develop solutions

• Collaborating on feasibility studies and concept presentations

• Gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects, including retail retrofits, healthcare facilities, office upgrades, entertainment venues, and historic building restorations

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.C.E) from an ABET-accredited four-year program

• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification 

• 1–3 years of experience working as a structural design engineer

• Interest in renovation-driven projects and the technical challenges of working with existing structures

• Self-starter with the ability to learn rapidly

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a team

• Ability and willingness to work on-site in New York City

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Salary range: $80,000 - $115,000 with annual performance-based bonus tied to individual and firm performance
